Get money smart at The Finance Bar with Marsha Barnes
We applaud dedicated, creative people who don’t just talk about an idea for a widely beneficial service — they actually do something about it. Marsha Barnes, certified financial educator and founder of The Finance Bar has given life to an innovative idea by building a nonprofit that helps spread financial education in a unique way. Combining practical money guidance and tips with an accessible approach to sharing financial education is only part of why we think Marsha and her Finance Bar are so cool.
On what was once an old school bus, transformed into a stylish mobile hub Marsha, as she describes it, meets people where they are on their financial journey. According to The Finance Bar website, she uses face-to-face group seminars and workshops on a wide range of financial topics to bridge “the gap between communities and financial awareness one mile at a time.” In addition to her money smarts on wheels, Marsha’s website includes engaging blogs on a variety of personal finance topics. And, she’s launched The Finance Bar’s Members Club for women who want more financial freedom — a cause near and dear to our hearts. “With monthly workbooks, guest experts and a thriving community, the club has helped impact hundreds of women who strive to make smarter financial decisions.”
Marsha describes herself as a money mentor and accountability partner. We love that concept — who doesn’t need someone like that in their life?
